I’m Lorena Lía Mansilla, a Graphic Worker and photography enthusiast from Argentina, currently based in Santa Cruz, California.
I have a deep appreciation for art movements such as Bauhaus, Pop Art, Chicha Art, and Swiss Modernism. My photographic interests include black and white and architectural photography, which I explore as ways to observe, reflect, and communicate.
My academic background includes studies in Journalism and Gender Studies in Argentina. After relocating to the United States, I continued my education in Digital Media and Photography at Cabrillo College in California.
I’ve been freelancing as a Graphic Designer in the U.S. while also collaborating remotely with a design studio in Argentina. Also,I have over a decade of experience as a Screen Printer. As a Communications Specialist, I’ve led youth workshops in radio production and narrative structure. I also bring years of experience as a journalist, contributing to a news agency in Argentina and serving as a foreign correspondent in the U.S. In addition, I co-founded community radio and television stations across Argentina and worked as a producer and news host for an alternative TV project in Buenos Aires.
Beyond work, I enjoy capturing photos of buildings and flowers, listening to a variety of music, and exploring the balance between symmetry and asymmetry. Cooking is a passion that allows me to express my creativity, and I also have a genuine interest in staying informed about what happens around the world.
Photography has become a new passion and an essential part of my creative process—a way to observe, communicate, and design with intention.
